“Chirping Birds” poem on bad talking and gossip

Hey, wrote this poem today and thought I’d share…

Chirping Birds
By Kristin Richardson Jordan

Like chirping birds
among orchard trees
your words are high and piercing
screeching amongst the breeze
you got the details on her bad taste
yapping about how that friend of his was all in your face
you have something to say about everything
and all that’s out of place
with that dirty laundry
yesterday tomorrow and Sunday’s news
Can’t expect people tell you much
with that tongue of yours so loose
but then I. Must. Be. Wrong.
because you’ve got just so much to say
I cut you off but
you just don’t work that way
can’t understand anyway
won’t know what it is until
I walk away
