Read the list below and think about these ways you can record your family’s history. Pick one and write a poem or short story guided by that prompt…
• Write about attending your family reunion. Who used to be there but is no longer there?
• Write a letter to one of your ancestors.
• Pretend as if you were creating a scrapbook of photos and other mementos from your ancestors, write a narrative to match your scrapbook
• Describe one or two old family traditions (rituals, sayings, events, recipes, ect) in detail and share how they reflect your family history.
